What is SFURTI Scheme?
SFURTI Scheme is a pilot project implemented by Ministry of MSME of Government of India. The scheme is in aid and to develop the business for traditional industry which involves manufacturing and sale of handicraft and handloom products in the domestic and international markets by way of cluster development.
The cluster development in the SFURTI Scheme is the core motive of the organizations involved in the scheme to develop. A cluster is where, after all planning of the government and non-government agencies working under the scheme comes to the conclusion of market the handloom and handicraft product.
The scheme was first launched in the year 2004 by the Ministry of MSME, and has been a huge success by organizing 800 more clusters on a yearly basis.
By way of functioning of the schemes many private and non-government organizations like SF Consultant is now being flourished in the market specially developing the expertise in Cluster Development in the market.

- Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
- Nodal Agencies: There are 32 Nodal agencies functioning under the scheme and the cluster are functioned under the name of the Nodal Agency. Some famous nodal agencies are KVIC, Council for Handicrafts Development Corporation (COHANDS), Coir Board and etc.
- Technical Agencies: Technical Agencies are nationally acclaimed firms, specifically experienced in cluster development, business development and marketing. Technical agencies provide back end support to a sfurti cluster and charge its consultancy fees accordingly.
- Implementing Agencies: Each cluster has one Implementing agency which is tasked with forming implementing the business goals and bringing artisans and craftsman, providing proper training to the them and closure of the same.
